Jason Riddle has over 16 years of industry experience with particular expertise in operational change, driving process efficiencies and aligning internal resources to deliver on business objectives. He began his career as an underwriter and funding manager at AGF Trust, where he was responsible for establishing processes, training staff and assisting in the implementation of new products and services. Jason has been with Hi-Rise Capital since 2014. In his current position as Manager, Investor Relations Jason is the main point of contact for investors, and ensures a best practice approach to investor communication that is effective, transparent and timely. Jason has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Business Communication diploma from the University of Toronto.
Brinn began his career with a prominent Bay Street Law firm in Toronto. His practice involved high-pressure negotiations and transactional work in the areas of securities, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Hi-Rise Capital, he worked as legal counsel to one of Canada’s largest mortgage brokerages where he was an instrumental leader to many of his real estate development clients by assisting with their project finance needs. Brinn specialized in structuring optimal investment vehicles and deal structures.
Scott Roberts joined Hi-Rise in 2014 and has over 17 years of experience as a leader in sales and business development. Prior to joining Hi-Rise Scott spent 10 years with real estate investment and development firm Walton Capital Management in progressively senior sales and management roles. Scott is highly adept at leading and motivating high performance sales teams, resulting in consistent sales and business growth. With a particular focus on Ontario, Scott brings to Hi-Rise an in-depth knowledge of the province’s business and real estate landscape. Scott graduated with his Bachelor of Commerce in 2000 from Carleton University in Ottawa and received his Canadian Securities Course in 2007.
Noor Al-Awqati joined Hi-Rise Capital in 2006 and has advanced into more senior roles over the years culminating in her promotion to COO in 2015. In this role, Noor provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems are in place to effectively grow the organization, and ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Noor holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting and minor in Finance from the Ted Rogers School of Management. Noor is a licensed Ontario Mortgage Broker.
Peter Neilas has over 20 years of experience, having held a series of financial and management roles with several global companies. He has expertise in public accounting and reporting, auditing, risk management and financing. Prior to joining Hi-Rise Capital, Peter was Vice President of Finance at Samuel, Son & Co. Ltd. where he was responsible for Finance, Information Technology and Human Resources for operations in North America and Mexico. In addition to the CPA and CMA designations, Peter completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, and his Accounting degree at York University. He is a licensed Ontario Mortgage Broker.
Michael has advised and sourced capital for numerous real estate developers, real estate funds, REITs and REOCs over his career in investment banking where he worked for a Canadian bank-owned dealer, a Wall Street firm and most recently ran the real estate group for an independent investment dealer. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
